1. Who We Are

CanadaPathway is a private beta product. We operate the canadapathway.ca platform. Questions or requests regarding personal data: hello@canadapathway.ca

2. What We Collect

When you use the assessment tool, we collect the profile information you enter (education level, language scores, work history, settlement preferences). If you sign in, we collect your email address via our authentication provider (Clerk). We also collect standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited, timestamps) for security and operational monitoring.

3. How We Use Your Data

We use profile data solely to compute your CRS score and match you against immigration program requirements. We do not sell your data to third parties. We do not use your profile data to train machine learning models without explicit consent. Aggregate, anonymised statistics may be used to improve the accuracy of the platform.

4. Data Storage

Assessment data is stored in our database hosted on Neon (PostgreSQL), with infrastructure in Canada or the United States. Authentication is handled by Clerk. Error monitoring is handled by Sentry. Each of these sub-processors has its own privacy policy and data processing agreement.

5. Retention

We retain assessment data for as long as your account is active, or for up to 2 years from your last login if inactive. You may request deletion of your data at any time by emailing hello@canadapathway.ca.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of personal data we hold about you. You may also withdraw consent at any time. To exercise these rights, contact us at the email above. We will respond within 30 days.

7. Cookies

We use strictly necessary cookies for authentication session management. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies. You can disable cookies in your browser, but this will prevent you from signing in.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy during the beta period. We will notify signed-in users of material changes by email. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent update.

9. Governing Law

This policy is governed by the laws of Canada, including the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).
